Fifteen years ago, my friends and I began making BBQ sausage the traditional South African way, known in Afrikaans as “Boerewors,” for our own enjoyment. It was something we craved and couldn’t find a suitable replacement for. Along with the boerewors, we also made biltong for ourselves. Over the past five years, we started sharing our homemade products with friends, and by word of mouth, we grew a loyal customer base.
