My Journey
Fifteen years ago, my friends and I began making BBQ sausage the traditional South African way, known in Afrikaans as “Boerewors,” for our own enjoyment. It was something we craved and couldn’t find a suitable replacement for. Along with the boerewors, we also made biltong for ourselves. Over the past five years, we started sharing our homemade products with friends, and by word of mouth, we grew a loyal customer base.
Sharing the Flavours of Joy
I’ve been continually amazed at how people from various nationalities have come to love my products. Encouraged by this support, I decided to start Gamka Bites! to bring the authentic taste of South Africa to more people.
My Goal
I am currently supplying our delicious biltong, dried sausage, and BBQ sausage to customers in the Brussels, Tervuren, and Leuven areas. My goal is to extend my reach across Belgium, and who knows where we’ll go from there!
Excellence in Service
For now, Gamka Bites! is a one-person show, with me running the operation. My husband is my invaluable support, sometimes acting as our delivery man. My two sons also lend a hand as student workers when needed. I’m dedicated to providing you with high-quality, authentic South African products made with the finest ingredients.
